Sun Valley Foods started operating on Auckland's North Shore in the early 1980's from small premises in the industrial area of Wairau Valley.
Much time was spent sourcing new ingredients for the company's expanding baking, dried fruit, nut, and snack food ranges.
With the internet in its infancy - much ingredient product research was done the "old fashioned" way. Hours spent building valuable long term relationships with both local and overseas suppliers.
Sun Valley continued to grow from strength to strength, complimenting the existing pantry range with new ideas and adding new lines - thus a move to new larger premises in Penrose.
Our ongoing success and market growth saw the need to expand our packaging plant with more sophisticated packing machines.
Realising the need to source on-going good quality food products with continuity of supply - we wherever possible made arrangements to buy New Zealand grown and produced.
A re-branding of the entire Sun Valley range took place. “New Look" packaging and the addition of a re-sealable pouch range - giving us a distinctive identity across the entire Sun Valley range.
